Loving them

Our kitties are seriously cute. Who would have known we would be such cat people??

It amazes us how different the personalities of this brother and sister are. One is rambunctious and always ready to play, one is more cautious, always testing the waters before they jump in. One comes to bed with us every night, one likes to scratch and chew on Jeff’s leg while he gets ready every morning. So set in their routines, so much the same but different.

Zeus absolutely cannot resist the bath water when Quinn is in the tub. The swirling, moving water, and the bubbles attract him like a moth to the flame. Athena, most of the time, she’s happy just to sit back and watch. Zeus has only fallen in once, but we are waiting for it to happen again…

Oh, and you’ll notice in these photos, there is no toliet paper on the holders in our house. The kitties keep unrolling it. And I was tired of using toliet paper off the floor. But now? They are knocking it off the counter, and shredding it on the floor. There is a reason they don’t sell shredded toilet paper people. It’s very hard to use.

Kitty Love

I can’t believe how big these kitties are getting!! I miss the tiny kitties.

Here are some pics from when we first got them.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I don’t miss that bottle feeding at all. But they were so tiny!

Look at them now.

Clara, I can’t thank you enough for bringing these little loves into our lives! Even though they have been waking me up everyday at four in the morning! They are (mostly) a joy!

Overflowing

I have lots of pictures to share, and may never get to my missed posts from the fall! There are just too many things going on around here. But first, a few random thoughts.

I am thankful for my husband and family. My man supports my fanatical gym obsession. He even got the kids on the bus yesterday so I wouldn’t miss my workout. I love you honey, and I don’t tell you nearly enough. I am thankful for my sisters and their never-ending support.

I am happy that we got our first snow! Makes it seem so much more like Christmas time. I am loving our new little kitties. Even though they are a handful, they are soft, cuddly, and so much fun to watch them play. Their antics are comical.

Now, some pictures. Like I said, we got our first snow!

The kids could not have been happier. Josh even volunteered to shovel!

We went to cut down our Christmas tree, and had lots of company. It was cold, but we all had a good time!

Kristin and Mark, ready to cut down their first Christmas tree.

The kids, having a grand ole time.

The mountain man and his mistress – oh, I mean wife!

And the truck that they use for their tree delivery service. Thank you guys!

And what post would be complete with out at least one kitten picture? They are doing great! We are done with bottles and on to canned food. Soon, we will hopefully move on to dry food! Here’s Athena cuddled up among the pillows on the couch catching a little cat nap.

Hope everyone is healthy and happy. Enjoy this season, it only comes once a year!

Just When You Thought

Just when you thought things could not get any busier, you add a little bit more love to your life, and things get a little more hectic. Our new additions will be about 5 1/2 weeks old this weekend. They are growing, and definitely have their own personalities. Athena is a big girl, she eats twice as much as Zeus at every feeding. He is a little one, but is feisty! They love to play. I cannot WAIT until they will eat regular food. This bottle feeding thing is getting old. I can’t believe that we have only had them for three short weeks, it seems like forever.

Watching the parade on Thanksgiving morning, snuggling with some kitties.

So, things have been busier than usual around here. I have a couple of older posts to catch up on, you know BTK (Before The Kitties). I’ll get to them soon, I promise!

Orphans

Well, we have a new addition to the Baxa family. Make that two new additions. These little cuties lost their momma. We thought they were two little boys, but found out this morning that we have one little boy and one little girl. They are about 2 and half weeks old, and have to be fed kitten formula by a bottle! This is all new for us, but I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we are in love.

Still trying to decide on some names for these little ones. But here are a few pictures.
