A Day at the Park

Yesterday, we got out and played! The kids were thrilled that we went to THREE parks. There was climbing, sliding, spinning, bike & scooter riding, swinging, and feats of strength – you know, on the monkey bars! No one would hang by their knees upside down though, what is wrong with these kids? Come on, we always did that! Maybe they aren’t old enough yet, but I think Josh should be. And even at six, Madeleine is a girl!!! That is what girls do right??

The Birthday Party

So, now that I have the Mother’s Day post out of the way, how about one for the birthday party of the year??

We partied at April’s house on May 23rd, to celebrate Quinn’s 5th birthday, Myles’s (is that the correct way to write it??? I never know, but I DO know that April will correct me if I’m wrong, I think it should be Myles’) 4th birthday, and Eli’s very first one. Well, his second, if you actually count his BIRTH day.

Anyways, the party was simply the best. April and I planned it together, and held it at her house of course. She’s got the great house and the awesome cul-de-sac. There were tons of people and tons of kids. And I think every single person in attendance had a great time. I know I did.

Mother’s Day

Ok, so I’m a little behind. But, better late than never, right? Someone back me up here.

Things have been quite hectic around here. With school wrapping up, and the weather turning nicer, we’ve been busy spending time outside.

However, I didn’t want to miss sharing some Mother’s Day pictures with all of you, my five readers out there. So, without further delay…

We spent a nice morning at home, my family made me eggs for breakfast, then we had some gifts. I got a beautiful handmade necklace, 3 picture frames, hand-crafted by my kiddos and filled with pictures from our Florida vacation. And last but not least, I got a new wind chime, to replace the broken one hanging by my front door.

We followed the relaxing morning, by an afternoon spent at the Nelson house. We had a cookout, and played outside. It was a great day!

Oh, the good times…

Well, we are back from our fabulously awesome Florida vacation. We did so many fun things, ate at lots of great restaurants, and met great new people. I was not ready to come home. Grandpa and Nana treated us to a day at the waterpark, we went to the dog track, out to countless dinners, and ate lots of ice cream! We spent time at the pool, and time at the beach (my favorite, I love the ocean) and spent lots of time with family, it was great. I could have used another 3 days or so. On our vacation Eli turned 1 and Quinn turned 5! Wow. We had our picture professionally taken, by our blogger friend Kelle, and while she is still getting them up on her website, what we’ve seen so far is just beyond words. It will be very difficult to pick just a few.

So, enough of my rambling. Here are just a couple of the hundreds of pictures we took.

It’s about time…

Our boy Quinn is finally wearing big boy undies! All the time. Except for bed, and that is his choice, not ours. Words cannot express how happy I am that we are finally conquering this. I’m really looking forward to my diaper-free vacation. What finally did it for Quinn you ask? He wanted a big boy scooter like his brother’s in a bad kind of way. He was told that they were only for big boys that go on the potty. And, well, here we are!
