I think I’m in love! From her beautiful, glossy, deep cinnamon color, to the pour guard, to the fast, easy mixing! She is a beauty. How did I live without her for all these years?!

She mixes all the way to the bottom, I only had to scrape the bowl twice, and she even mixes in the chips! No more mixing in the chips by hand for me!
Here’s the finished product.

Oh, you want to see more pictures of my beauty? Here they are.

I have a knitting update, and Thanksgiving to post about. But, I don’t have time for that right now.
I have to take this beauty for a test drive!

I’ll let you know how she does.

Seems like when the Nelson kids get together with my kids – things get a little crazy. Myles came over for the evening on Saturday to play with Quinn and strange things began to happen. The is not the first time “it” happened. A few months ago when Madeleine and Ella got together, a similar thing occured. I don’t know - you tell me….

My baby turned 10 yesterday. Ten years old! I can hardly believe it. We took Josh and a friend to Great America instead of having a party, and they had a blast. Jeff and I did too. We had a small family get together on Sunday, Josh got some new clothes, and a new Lego set. He also has some cold hard cash burning hole in his pocket now. Not too worry, it won’t last very long!
Happy Birthday Josh! I hope all of your wishes come true!

Well, Halloween has come and gone. The kids had a really good time trick or treating with all their cousins. We have more candy than we could ever eat, and are still munching on our pumpkin seeds!

Madeleine got her stitches taken out yesterday afternoon. She was very nervous, as several of her friends at school told her that getting them taken out was the worst part. They told her it hurt really bad. Well, it was a cinch. A few quick snips and they pulled right out! She’s very glad to have them out, she said they were bothering her a lot. And the cut looks like it’s healing very nicely.

That Madeleine would be the first child in our family to get stitches. Well, that is how we spent the latter part of yesterday evening. At the Emergency Room, getting Madeleine four stitches in her lip.
Seems when we were leaving dinner, Josh opened the sliding door on the van as Madeleine was walking around the back corner, and the door got her, hit her lip, and knocked her right on her butt. At first I thought that she had tripped, and hit her mouth on the door when she was falling, but it doesn’t seem that is the case. Ask Madeleine about it, she will be sure to start her story with “Well Josh…”.
So, here is the finished product. Please excuse the boogers and the dirty face. I have a couple from the ER last night, and if Jeff can get them off my phone for me (I don’t know how!) I will add them. I have to say, she was pretty brave, not a tear to be had at the ER, just a little shaking, and then a little upset stomach when all was said and done. But my girl is pretty courageous. She must get that from her Dad!

To round out our busy Saturday, we had Jake and Luke over for awhile on Saturday evening. Jeff had them for the first two hours, while I was at April’s house, helping with the canning. They had a really good time playing outside. After a quick McD’s dinner (Jake had to have a DOUBLE cheeseburger, and Quinn wanted a Big Mac!) we got some pj’s on and hunkered down for a movie. By the time Kim and Vu returned, we had lost everyone but Jake. Man, I think that boy could stay up all night!

After our VERY early start Saturday, with a 9 am football game, we headed up to the Farmer’s Market. This is where MY day got very hectic. I called April, because I found some peaches there, and she’d been looking for some to can. Of course, this wasn’t just a quick yes or no phone call, I had to keep asking the guy a million questions and calling her back. Then she asked if Jeff & Quinn would like to go to the racetrack with Greg & Myles – in like a half an hour! Sure, ok. Then I tell her I can bring her peaches to Ella’s dance class, where I would also drop off Madeleine to go home with them to play. Then off to pick up Josh at a friends house! Phew. What started out as a day with a football game, ended up with many plans.
Anyways (got a little off track there!) the boys had a great time at the races. I guess the little boys were only interested in the cars for about a 30 minutes, then they were just busy messing around as little boys do. Quinn came home filthy dirty, with black knees from crawling around on the bleachers.
