Reunion

As if the 4th of July wasn’t enough, we also had the Grzybowski Family Reunion picnic on the 5th. It was a day of huge fun. There were popsicles, the ice cream man, a pinata, water balloons, and bean bag games. It was great seeing all of those relatives that live out of state, and catch up on everyone’s lives.

Family & Fireworks

After a day of swimming and having fun, Demski’s and Baxa’s alike enjoyed the fireworks. Everyone joined us this year, the Charles family, the Nelsons, Grandma Pultz and Grandpa Don and Nana. The kids had a blast. And I think the adults had a good time watching them enjoy the fireworks!

4th of July

As in years past, we got together at Grandpa and Nana’s for a day of swimming and fun! It was a truly enjoyable day. The weather was great, as was the company.

This weekend was the annual Memorial Day cookout at the Baxa place. Kids and grown-ups alike have a great time at this get together! Jeff & Josh spent the night in a tent, while Madeleine camped out with Jake on the air mattress in the safety of the house. There was a little bit of rain, but almost everyone stayed dry.

What a way to kick off the summer.

Mother’s Day

Well, another Mother’s Day has come and gone. I hope all you moms out there had a wonderful day.

We skipped Sunday school to have a nice breakfast. My boys made me pancakes, and Josh did all the flipping. He was quite proud of himself. My children were actually mad at me for getting out of bed – they had wanted to serve me breakfast in bed. Imagine that, I actually got out of bed when I didn’t have to. The boys also cleaned up after breakfast, which was especially nice. I got some very nice gifts too.

Then off to grocery shopping, and the electricity went out. It was out all day, which made it very hard to cook noodles for pasta salad. So we packed up early and headed out to Grandpa and Nana’s. Things were a bit loud there, as it always is when we all get together. But I think the kids had a good time, and I enjoyed spending the afternoon with all of my family.

Hope your day was as good as mine. It sure is nice to hear I love you so many times in one day.

In Rememberence – Katherine Baxa

Maybe it was also because I knew it was planted by the Sunday school in memory of mom and the next day was Mother’s Day.

So I went and got my camera and took a picture of the tree. It made me stop and think of mom and it seems so right that it is at its most beautiful on Mother’s Day.
