And here is Quinn as a new Kindergartener. He is so excited to start school again, and told me he wants to go to school “ever and ever and ever”. He is loving his new class. And because he goes to the extended day program, he eats lunch at school too! 

Wow. I have two kids in grade school now. Madeleine started first grade this year. A full day of school, with hot lunch and everything. It’s a pretty big step from Kindergarten to first grade, but I know this year is going to be great. She’s been looking forward to school everyday, and told me that she’d like to go to school on Saturday too, because she loves her teacher.

Well, school has officially started and we have many new and exciting things this year. Josh has moved up to a new school, with fourth, fifth and sixth graders. He’s going out to wait for the bus by himself, without me hanging around. And, he’s decided he wants to take a shower every morning before school. We’ll see how long that lasts. His school starts an hour earlier this year, so wake up time is 6:30 am. He also goes to the Robert Crown Health Center this year! I can’t believe that. I think we have lots of changes coming this year. We will see.

It’s been a long time coming. We KNEW she could do it – but she didn’t know it yet. She was scared. Which is unusual for her. Finally, 4 days before she became a first grader, it happened. She is SO proud of herself, and we are proud of her too. No more training wheels for this big girl.
